How to reset my App Lock password?

If you forgot your App Lock password, it is possible to recover it by following these steps.

1. Open the app you'd like to recover the password and lock it.

2. Determine the app Ref ID. In the App Lock screen, in the lower right corner, you'll find the Ref ID of the app you're running.

For example, in the screenshot, the Ref ID is singlebox.

3. Retrieve the password.

Windows:

- Open Credential Manager.

- Look for password entry with the name set to {Ref ID}/app-lock-password and expand it.

- Select Remove to disable App Lock or choose Edit to change the App Lock password.

macOS:

- Open Keychain Access app.

- Look for password entry with the same name as the Ref ID and with account set to "app-lock-password"

- Right click on the entry, then select  Delete to disable App Lock or select Get Info to change the App Lock password.

Linux:

On Linux, WebCatalog stores App Lock passwords with libsecret. Different Linux distributions have different CLI/GUI applications for users to access and modify values stored with libsecret. For example, on GNOME-based systems, you can use Seahorse to disable/change App Lock password. Look for password entry with name related to Ref ID and "app-lock-password".
